Golem Overlord Boss Fight Details
A few weeks ago in the Golem Overlord Discord, the creator of the game posted a sneak preview of potential mechanics and loot for the upcoming Boss Fights in Golem Overlord. You can read the original discord post here.
Boss Fight Mechanics
Note: The details below are taken from the discord post with some editing from me. I'm not an official representative of the game and I'm certain all of this is subject to change since the game is still in alpha stages.
- Entry costs are planned to be scavenger golems and shards.
- Your base damage will be calculated from your stats.
- The damage calculation formulas will be hidden.
- You will select from 8 attack vectors, even multiple of the same (top, top right, right, etc).
- Each player will have his own weakness/defense spots (2x top right, bottom for example).
- Weaknesses will be different for every player.
- Hitting the right attack vector gives a damage multiplier or defense a malus.
- Players don’t see the optimal attack vectors or weaknesses, they have to try several times to test them.
- Each next try costs more [scavenger golems and/or shards].
- Cost and spots reset each 8/12 hours.
- Players get instant rewards (PART/SHARD) and rarely NFTs/crates and other prizes.
- Part and shard will use the reward share logic similar to Splinterlands.
- Boss fights will have a daily leaderboard with raffle prizes.
- Will have weekly leaderboards with big set prizes.
- The amount of attacks will likely be variable by stats/NFTs or other factors.
- There may be specific NFT's for the Boss Fight game mode.
Boss Fight Loot Table
- Tech charges (tech charges will be used to charge NFT in the future as discussed in the #golem-worshop Discord channel).
- Non-animated boss backgrounds, rarity 2-6.
- Animated boss backgrounds, rarity 6-7.
- Boss tech crate
—> Attack or defense boost for x hours each. Possibly percent based. Rarity sets the max bonus.
—> Lucky steal rolls for x rolls (roll 2 times and take the higher).
—> Hidden stash.
—> Battle potion (aka energy).
—> Tech charge multiplier NFT (burn for x times the normal amount).
—> Possibly cut x hrs from your current claim timer. - Stat stick rarely, possibly not from crate, but different possible stats from different bosses, identifying cost?

Closing Thoughts
I'm excited for the boss fights and other game modes coming to Golem Overlord. I believe the game has a strong future. As I said earlier, I'm not an official representative of the game and the items above could change, but they are ideas posted directly from the game developer.
