Hi, Hive friends! I am so happy to receive my Skechers shoes this afternoon which I ordered a few days ago. Let me say, thank you Hive earnings for I can afford to buy the things I want without breaking the bank.
My goal for 2025 is to get back my Cinderella moment one step at a time. The first step is to find those pair of shoes to dress up. I just didn't buy one but two pairs of shoes with the colors white and navy blue. Last year, I bought peach/pink rubber shoes from Skechers in Spain, but it was not the shoes for dressing up. I love to collect Skechers shoes so I won't regret having new three pairs of Skechers shoes in less than 6 months. LOL
I got so excited to unbox it. I tried first the navy blue shoes, looks black in the photo, but lo and behold, I smiled with giddiness because the shoes fit perfectly on my feet. Gosh, it was so comfortable.
Then, tried on the white shoes, love the wide feet design because I have wide feet. When I put my feet inside, another Cinderella moment. It felt like stars sparkled around me when those two pairs of shoes perfectly fit well.
My feet and legs need self-care. And that hair fall, ugh.
I need to buy cream to beat this skin dryness. LOL
Dressing up only for me
As a mom, I've been feeling insecure with my postpartum body changes. At home, I've been wearing large T-shirts and pants. I didn't like the way I looked, so last year, I started my fitness journey. Although I am inconsistent I see the little changes.
I've been checking out on Instagram how to style and I've been checking some online shops for some clothes and dresses. I don't need to buy expensive ones, I'll go for the affordable ones so that I have many options to choose from with a limited budget. Dressing up is my second step to better myself.
Listening to Audiobooks with a free membership trial
I really want to buy some physical books here in France but I don't know which book I would love to read. I followed a page about book recommendations and got the Amazon links to click on. I found Audiobooks that I can listen to for free in one month. So far, it's helping me to calm down.
Here are the audiobooks I've been listening to:
The Mindful Guide to the Law of Attraction by Paige Oldham - done listening for two hours. I would love to have a physical book but the delivery is expensive.
Hold On to Your Kids (Why Parents Need to Matter More than Peers) by Gordon Neufeld and Gabor Mate - I listened for 5 hours, not yet done with a total listening 16 hours.
Healing Through Breathing (Four Lessons for Lasting Health and Happiness) by Eddie Stern - I like listening to this as it feels like I am meditating.
The Five Keys to Mindful Communication - in queue for listening
Listening to audiobooks while doing house chores is really great. If you're a fan of audiobooks, please suggest some titles. Thank you. :D
Should I get the Kindle version or Paperback version?
I just downloaded the Kindle app on my android phone but not sure if it will work with my old iPad mini. I am tempted to buy the Kindle version of this book: The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down: Bring Calm to your life with the ultimate mindfulness guide from a Buddhist monk by Haemin Sunim.
Will you please help me decide? Hehe Thank you so much.
