Welcome back! A little update to the food garden blog!
Its getting waaarm! Lots more action today, how do people balance this posting and doing, its dam hard work! Anyways, update ahoy!
Beet roots
now many more have germinated and grown roots and are being planted out in to pots. I want to grow enough to fill one of those big beds next to the onions in the garden and to have a row of them. There must be a hundred beetroot seeds by now with roots!
Germinated beetroot seeds they can only germinate when they are stuck together.
There was then space on the end to plant these Melons that had germinated aswell..
The newest pot, freshly sown a couple of hours ago with the Beetroot seeds and some of the Melons..
I didn't post for a while I've been busy, plus the other evening I spent six hours when I went to meet a friend and we talk about everything happening, and since a while he is into crypto! He is a computer guy though and installs Linux for people so better late than never to get into Bitcoin (hope I can sell him some to survive here.)
My Wirex card was delivered but it was delivered to Norway and now I need to get it posted to Spain, probably will take a month at least.
After digging up by hand the last days, today comes a rotavator.
of course it does..
We will make more places to grow food, so it will get used.
- Cucumber Plants..
This are 2 weeks old started from seed and are looking healthy.
- Cauliflower
- Radishes
These have had seeds placed in from a second lot of germinated seeds, after I learnt that one seed equals on radish, I started off more of them!
- Broccoli
The bigger ones were gifted and seem to have settled from replanting because they have new sets of leaves. The smaller plants in with them are broccoli I started from seeds.
- Courgettes
They will be popped out soon enough with the first leaves showing, for now they grow roots. Actually it was New Moon and from new moon until it waxes again, roots on all plants develop better.
- Tomatoe's
These were started from seed before I arrived by and she just repotted them into these pots below
The proposed Pumpkin Patch
This was what I done when I arrived, by the side of it. I tested some onions in the wild and they like thier home. Today we will use the rotavator to make another patch next to the pumpkin one to the left.
Best get on then I suppose 🤣
Its looking more spacious already!
