In foggy autumn weather, it's much harder for me to get out into nature for at least a few hours. I find it hard to leave my comfort zone, although I've got to the point where, no matter how bad the weather is, I still go to my daily Curves fitness exercises every day.
But I skipped today's training because I needed some change. A little outing really doesn't hurt. And it wasn't strenuous, just a pleasant contemplation.
Fog is only depressing from my room, maybe walking in the city, but not in the woods and fields! It's more like a kind of mysterious atmosphere. You can't even get lost in well-known terrain!
Deep in my soul I was waiting for the sun to come out. There was also the chance that the fog would thicken even more, or even rise, but turn the sky grey and block out the sun.
Autumn around Bodajk is not at all sad and grey. The rosehips, for example, are a very cheerful shade of red. They have not yet been bitten by the tern, so they are tough, but I can chew a few berries.
The water droplets on the tangled cobweb are like pearls.
White campion blossoms beside the path. This otherwise unremarkable little flower is now really striking.
Blackberries bloom for the second time due to the mild weather.
The wild rose forms a graceful inverted h-shape.
The hilltop is not visible through the dense fog.
The water in the stream is almost stagnant because, unfortunately, there is hardly any supply. Therefore, the leaves form a continuous carpet on it.
The fog has gradually lifted, the sun still shines softly.
The sky is fully revealed, the mass of reddish brown leaves glowing in the sun.
What are these black balls? They are probably black walnut fruits. But how did they get here? I don't know of any black walnut trees nearby, and the water is barely running.
Leaving the valley, I take a look at the rock face of the old quarry.
I crossed the road, walked 150-200 meters backwards and then turned left onto a dirt road with pastures and, of course, cattle on one side of the road, up the hills. I sang them a song, but they didn't come close, they just watched from a distance.
I bypassed the hilly pasture and got back on the road.
From there, the houses of Bodajk and the Calvary hill was already visible.
In the other direction are the Vértes mountains, where I also like to go whenever I can.
Overall, it was not a sporting effort, maybe if it was 5-6 kilometers in total. But the point is that it was a pleasure.
