It is hard for me to believe that we are already at Friday. It seems like just yesterday I was writing one of these #whoareyoulisteningto posts. This week has been a total blur. For the first time in almost six months we have students back in the building face to face next week.
That means I have been beyond busy this week getting everything ready for the teachers and the students. Thankfully I have a worker now as I don't know how I would have accomplished it all without his help.
Last Saturday I was at my brother in laws house and they were talking about this margarita mix that was made by the son of the guy that invented the tequila sunrise drink. They have an Alexa speaker, so every time I heard them telling the story about the margarita to new family members that showed up I would yell out "Alexa, play Tequila Sunrise by the Eagles".
It is safe to say I had maybe had one or two of the aforementioned margaritas myself.
Anyway, good song... enjoy.
I am sure many of you have heard of Hall & Oates. They were a pretty famous duo in the 80's and they still tour today. In fact they have had music that has spanned the decades. Did you know that they also had their fair of solo albums?
I have been listening to a lot of Daryl Hall this week. I really like his voice and he is actually a pretty cool guy. There is a show on one of the music channels called "Live from Daryl's House". He has different singers and musicians over and they play some music together and usually eat some really good food. It is a great show if you ever get the chance to watch it. You might even be able to find some of the episodes on YouTube.
Actually, here is a bonus for you:
Finally, I am going to leave you with some Taylor Swift. I have had the chance to listen to her "Folklore" album a couple of times now. I am not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I do know that I immediately fell in love with the song "Betty" when I heard it.
I think the main reason for this is because it has that RED feel to it. I could easily see it fitting on that album quite nicely. In fact, it really reminds me of some of her early stuff like Tim McGraw. Minus the swearing of course. Like many young people Taylor has definitely grown up and she tries to prove that via her language on many of the songs.
If you listen to no other song on Folklore I feel that Betty really deserves your time. It is part of a three song group on the album that are about a love triangle from each of the participants point of view.
Very good stuff.
There you go, another week of music. Leave me a comment and let me know what you have been listening to this week. Better yet, write your own post and use the #whoareyoulisteningto tag.
