Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra presents the Feyenoord club hymn
Feyenoord and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra join forces in these trying times.
Feyenoord and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra join forces because both Rotterdam orientated icons are having trouble keeping all there employees paid because they aren’t allowed to perform in a co very and play on the football field.
Both Feyenoord and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra have been unable to show their skills for a long time due to the corona crisis all over the world. Both Rotterdam icons are now joining forces around the return of the premier league, with a beautiful Feyenoord hymn. For almost six months it was quiet in the classical music world and not a ball rolled in De Kuip. The RPhO and Feyenoord could not play for their audience and supporters all this time. To shape the return to the concert halls and on the field, the orchestra and the club bring both worlds together in a spectacular video.
In the video, which was launched Thursday , both Rotterdam icons send a powerful message: "Ready to Play".
In the video ( the idea is from hubby’s friend and my girlfriends husband ) of almost two minutes, the traditional helicopter ( yes my club has a helicopter ) for Feyenoord also returns, which makes the familiar landing on the center spot of De Kuip. That is always done at the beginning v of the season. During the flight, which is accompanied by the classical sounds of the orchestra, you will also see iconic images of Rotterdam. With the message "Ready to Play" it becomes clear that both Feyenoord and the RPhO are ready to present themselves again to the general public.
The General director said “The crisis is not over yet, but with the start of the competition millions of football fans will get something to really look forward to every week. On the eve of hopefully another great season for Feyenoord, they wanted to reflect on this in this special way, together with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra - as another icon of Rotterdam.
Director of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra George Wiegel: “As valuable as it was that we were able to keep in shape with online projects and reach music lovers all over the world, nothing can beat playing live. They had a lot of support from the heartwarming response from our fans and can't wait to welcome them back to our venue.
I had goose bumps and am so PROUD ! I just watched the game from tonight. Feyenoord just won 2-0 against PEC Zwolle can I bet in Feijenoord
Thanks Michel for this great idea.
