The bustling city center of The Hague, That has more to offer than the wellknown ministeries and parliament like Binnenhof, Noordeinde Palace and 't Vredespaleis. Boutiques, cafes, concert and dance venues, galleries, flagship stores, museums, restaurants and more. The court city has something for everyone in the field of culture, shopping and going out. And very nice hotels.
Shopping in The Hague is something we do sometimes because we know Rotterdam because we always do our shopping there. So this was a great new outting on a Friday afternoon and the time of work. Relaxing and shopping yep headache is gone.
In The Hague city center you can find the most exclusive retail formulas in the Netherlands. All sweet shops and well-known department stores, such as de Bijenkorf, Uniqlo and HEMA, are within walking distance of each other and the pleasant shopping streets are completely car-free.
I love the boutique hotels in the old centre. From the Grote Marktstraat to the beautiful Passage, and from the royal Noordeinde to the historic Hofkwartier: the various shopping areas in the center each breathe their own atmosphere. This diversity makes this city center the perfect place for a day of shopping. And the new thing is the Food Halls in the little streets behind the major great shopping street.
With the most sights per square meter of the Netherlands, The Hague breathes plenty of culture and history. In that respect, the court city has a prominent place in Europe and the world. Visit Hague highlights, such as the Binnenhof, the famous Peace Palace and the beautiful Lange Voorhout.
The old buildings and the old big church is great sight for our eyes. The city center of The Hague offers a wealth of impressive art. I did the art route with graffiti against the vandalism. I blogged about it so scroll back or leave me a comment I will search for the blog.
When you admire the excellent works of Rembrandt and Vermeer go to the Mauritshuis. Discover the largest painting in the Netherlands, Panorama Mesdag. And let your imagination run wild in the Escher museum. And when you want to close of the day take a cab or take the taxi to the beach of Scheveningen, 10 minutes from the centre. I worked in The Hague, had family here and even a boyfriend when I was younger. I am a Rotterdammer in hart but ok I have to admitt love The Hague.
Thanks for stopping by, its appreciated and remember focus on being creative instead of being bee-zy.
