Hello Lifestyle Community, a little inspiration from
because we all need some love :)
Animals suffer all over the world. Mostly due to human behavior. There are organizations fighting for animal rights and running rescue missions in every part of the world.
We have or
within the bigger Hive community, running small rescue organizations.
Many people would like to help and just don't know how. It doesn't always have to be about money.
5 ways how to help animals without money
1. Volunteer at your local shelter or animal rights group
Most shelters or human societies are packed with work. Running a rescue organization means work 24/7.
They have to take care of the animals, clean, go to the vet, do paperwork and the list goes on.
You can help by offering volunteer work like taking out dogs for a walk or cleaning the housing facilities.
Even your professional expertise might be welcome. If you are into web design you can offer to create an appealing website or creating flyers. You can also publish articles about the work they do to raise more local awareness.
Your offers will mostly be welcome.
2. Be active online
Many people are skipping bad news on the internet. Dealing with graphic images and the misery of other beings is not on the top one list of users to search for.
But you can do a big part in sharing the content of animal welfare pages. Just a simple like and share and their visibility reaches another level and therefore they might get more support.
3. Adopt don't shop or become a part time homer
There are thousands of animals waiting for a loving home.
A pet from the shelter is not less worth than a pet from a breeder. In most cases they are even more thankful and make great companions. I know what I'm talking about, all our pets where rescues.
If you cannot have a pet forever you can still volunteer to become a part time home for a pet until there is a forever home coming up.
That can take pressure from a shelter and the pet is already learning how it is being in a family.
Just make sure you are ready for it and have a good common knowledge about the pet species you are willing to take care of.
4. Report animal cruelty
This is a very important factor. If you detect a case of animal abuse, cruelty, neglect...everything that you don't want to happen to yourself, report it!
There are local authorities, animal right groups, shelters and even veterinarians you can go too and ask for help.
Reporting is better than doing nothing, and looking away doesn't make you feel better either.
5. Demonstrate and raise awareness
There is still the possibility to do something without having a pet on your own. What counts is the effort.
Many animal welfare organizations have flyers or other material for download that is free of charge. You can release those informations to your local public by spreading flyers.
If there is a demonstration for a good cause you can participate and show your support and raise awareness.
You see, it doesn't always have to be about money when it comes to helping animals in need and there is more than one way to help.
Even with little things and an open mind you can make the world a little better.
Spoiler alert: Your Karma points will go up ;)
