Una de ellas es mi ahora tan preciado mini torno. un amigo me enseñó lo básico en cuanto a su uso y me anime a crear pipas artesanales. aquí les traigo una de ellas. espero les guste..

Dear friends, this time I want to share with you something different .. throughout this very long quarantine in my country, I have researched and learned different ways of making art .. One of them is my now so precious mini lathe. A friend taught me the basics of its use and encouraged me to create handmade pipes. here I bring you one of them. I hope you like it..
Como primer paso recorté un rectángulo de madera para luego empezar a darle forma curvando todos sus bordes y haciendo los agujeros para que el humo pase sin problemas.
As a first step I cut out a wooden rectangle and then started to shape it by curving all its edges and making holes so that the smoke passes without problems.
Luego pulí lo que seria la cánula para hacerla mas refinada y le di forma a la cazoleta (cuadrada en la base y rombo en la superficie).
Then I polished what the cannula to make it more refined and gave shape to the bowl (square at the base and rhombus on the surface)
Continué tallando la cánula con una punta fina para resaltar los detalles y simular la mascara africana.
I continued to carve the cannula with a fine point to bring out the details and simulate the African mask.
Para finalizar lijé la pipa y la finalicé frotándola con un algodón y una mezcla de aceite vegetal y un poco de cúrcuma para pigmentarla suavemente.
To finish, I sanded the pipe and finished it by rubbing it with a cotton ball and a mixture of vegetable oil and a little turmeric to gently pigment it.
