What's buzzing, friends?

A big fish story is the best kind of story there is. It's the kind of story that makes you feel like you're the one who caught the fish, even if you weren't. It's the kind of story that makes you feel like you're a part of the action, even if you're just sitting there listening. And it's the kind of story that you just can't wait to hear again and again.

But what if your "BIG" fish story is real, not fabricated?

Let's talk about the story of Matthew Andrew Clark. In 2012, there was a big fishing tournament on the line with a sizable prize pool of £800 for the first prize. This was the prestigious "Bailiwick Bass Club" fishing tournament. Fishermen from around the area traveled to fish the waters and catch the biggest fish.

Matthew had other plans. Before the contest, he broke into the aquarium in La Vallette and proceeded to steal a 13lb (5.9kg) bass. This MASSIVE bass, later he claimed to have caught in the fishing tournament. He took home the £800 1st place prize and then sold the fish to a fishmonger for even more.

However, Matthew and his great fish story were soon called out. Another fisherman recognized the fish, as the one from the aquarium. Matthew initially denied stealing the fish, but later did own up to the crime and was sentenced to community service. You can read more about this fish story here.
