I'm — to a large degree — in the online sales business.
Of course, one of the natural consequences of that is that people buy stuff for me, and then the next step in the sequence is that I send it to them.
Signs of spring!
Now that the world is experiencing various degrees of corona virus lockdowns and voluntary isolations, people are stuck at home with not-so-much to do, so my online sales are (thankfully!) still going pretty well.
"Retail Therapy," anyone?
Anyway, whereas I can purchase most postage online and simply drop off my packages, there are some that require going to the Post Office and actually having "counter transactions."
And so, today I will be venturing out into this "Scared New World" we suddenly find ourselves in.
I also have to go to the bank, and there's a message on my bank's web site that only the drive-through windows are now open. But I have to pick up a physical piece of paper that I have to sign for, so there's no doing that online.

Why Is This Even Blog Worthy?
Without any doubt, COVID-19 is a serious and dangerous contagion.
That said, there's a big difference between "taking sensible and reasonable precautions" and "living in a state of abject terror."
And part of a sensible approach (at least for me) entails working WITH the hand we have been dealt by this situation, rather than just becoming immobilized and doing nothing.
I am not going to add to the problem by being too afraid to work perfectly safely at home, and continue to work and ship things to customers. And not because I am some sort of sick and twisted opportunist trying to capitalize on people with cabin fever... but because we need to keep moving forward, even if it is within certain limitations.
Finding balance in our lives...
The world has not ended, and we are not dealing with the Bubonic Plague with a 50-70% mortality rate. I also believe we all need to try to keep moving forward, even if the "new normal" we may have to deal with lasts weeks or even many months. Simply "stopping" does nobody any favors... and additionally only compounds the fearful situation so many are already looking at.
And if you're a blogger/vlogger? Just keep posting... about life, as you're experiencing it... and NOT just about "the worst most horrific story you found online today!"
And now, I must pack up my packages and get ready to go!
Thanks for reading, and stay healthy, wherever you are!
