One of the things that never ceases to amaze me living here in the Philippines is how really quick the weather can change.
48 hours ago we had rain, thunderstorms and high winds as the tail end of Tropical Storm Ulysses dragged in some grim weather behind it.
Early yesterday it was bucketing down but looked like brightening up in the afternoon and ended with a beautiful sunset.
And today its cristal clear, glass calm seas with perfect weather for diving. Anywhere else in the world I have dived you would wait at least 3 or 4 days for the seas to calm down and visibility to improve after a storm sometimes over a week in the UK. Here it's about 12 hours.
So 15 minutes the trip out to Pescador Island for this morning's first dive was a real treat and a cracking dive it was too.
The resident frogfish made put in an appearance. Even if he was a bit far from his usual spot.
Local lionfish are always very colorful. They are not as big here as you sometimes see in the Red Sea.
The water temperature is dropping a degree or two which might not seem a lot but for some creatures, it makes a big difference. One big change you notice is the number of nudibranchs always increases as the water gets cooler and they are fascinating and all very different. here are just two from this morning's dive.
Funeral Jorunna.
Tryon's Risbecia.
Well, Hivers I hope you enjoyed joining me this morning on my Pescador Island dive after the bad weather.
