In my first approach to macro photography, I could have captured the picture of a beautiful and colorful butterfly, maybe I could capture the laborious task of an ant or perhaps photograph a curious beetle. But no, the one it came to my yard was this creepy worm, a model I had to deal with because the truth was not very helpful for this photo session.
Maybe It was too tired, I don't know, but when my 6-year-old cousin Astrid invited me to take some pictures of a little animal with many legs that I had found in the yard, I decided to try the macro lens of my new phone, a Redmi Note 9 that I bought using HIVE.
When I arrived at the location I found this little worm motionless, I thought he had already gone to worm heaven, so I took a wooden stick and pushed him slightly, he moved and then I noticed that my model had simply stayed still.
I took the model with a small wooden branch and placed him on a leaf to take some pictures of him, I felt quite embarrassed to bother the worm and to be afraid of this ugly worm of only about 4 centimeters and of extreme thinness.
I couldn't get it right on the leaf because it moved and then Mr. Worm fell on the ground next to it. I can see that we need to have more collaborative models.
Seeing that he was not going to collaborate, I started the photo session, looking at the photos I could notice his ugly and scary little hairs, I thanked nature for being so wise because these terrifying creatures are, for the most part, a few centimeters long.
The already tired model wanted to climb a peak and showed me red eyes. Obviously, I noticed that this little animal is not innocent at all, I did not pay for the services as a model and I let it keep on climbing.
Doing a search on the internet I discovered that it is called Burner Worm.
I'm learning to use the macro camera of the phone and I feel that it must have some other functions that I don't know, I'll keep exploring, and hopefully, I'll have a better model for the next sessions, I hope that at least it does not want to escape from me climbing and that it looks a little better. #PhotographerWannaBe (maybe xD)
