Hi, dear Hivers,
This is my participation in 's Hive Creative Contest.
I chose prompt number 5: "You have always believed magic exists. You just didn’t know how close it really was."
You can see the details here
I’ve always liked magic, especially the magic represented in witches. I want to believe they exist. I know there is an element of superstition to it, part of it is true or based on ancient knowledge of nature's healing and destructive roperties and real practices.

The Magic Companion
This character from this cartoon or comic strip I have created is a girl who always believed in witches and wanted to become one.
She tried. In the first image we see her showing some bruises she got trying to fly. That is how she met her little partner, who she kept and grew up with. She realized that the magic she was desperately trying to find in witches, because when you have magic you can fix things, could be found in a partner too.
Most of the time we do not see that. We may have a pet, a friend or a relative, parents, a brother near, who we ignore or even treat badly, and that person or animal may work the magic we need at a given moment. For young people these days, for instances it can be wonderful to have a pet to get rid of bad vibes, to change our day, keep us company, be our guardians, and teach us responsibility and loyalty.
We have all read cases of pets, like a small Chihuahua I read about, that died defending their owners.
Pets are not simple property we can buy, they are life partners. Their departure can hurt as much, if not more, than that of any human or relative.
Magic is in the little things. The magic produced by the aura of these hairy companions is impressive and admirable.
