Moods Of A Mountain
Planned while still under hard lock-down in the hope of hopes that travel would be lifted and allowed, we timed this one perfectly for a quick getaway from suburban life to enjoy the great outdoors.
Many photographs taken so this is one on the very first afternoon of arriving and watching the clouds move over giving change in lighting with mixture of clouds just before sunset, sunset with colours that filled the skyline.
Absolute bliss sipping a beer, enjoying the view in crisp fresh mountain air knowing the dazzling sights that unfurl for capturing the moods the mountains display at end of day.
Champagne Castle is a mountain in the central Drakensberg range, and is the second highest peak in South Africa. It contains a series of subsidiary peaks, amongst them, Cathkin Peak (3149 m), Sterkhorn, Mount Memory, Monk's Cowl and Dragon's Back. Champagne Castle
