Caturday - The Secret
Now most who know me realize I have a dog that adopted me nearly two years ago, the Pitbull named Woody has literally crept into our hearts exactly the way he snuck over the back wall and into our lives, a complete take over...
The big secret, no one knows about Cloud an adopted cat that lives in residence as well, my son and daughter-in-law asked if they could bring her home into their flatlet to look after her for awhile, an aunt went in for a hip replacement, this is now two years ago (August 2018).
Cloud loved it so much and decided to stay, completely out of sorts being taken 'home', so much so, aunt asked if they didn't mind bringing her back here.
Originally rescued from the streets as a young kitten, intimidated by dogs and other cats she is exceptionally timid.
From quiet house syndrome, over a short span of five months when we had no pets within the home Rhodesian Ridgeback Jodi crossed the big divide, a first in 35 years with no pets. Two furry friends arrived to fill the gap in our lives.
Cloud is extremely nervous of dogs, this we knew when she arrived (not having a dog) it was fine, she is very much an indoor cat, very skittish, taking months to settle down. She was aware Woody was around with his daily visits at the time, between 8 am when the children next door left for school, returning late afternoon which carried on for about 5 months.
Woody arrived permanently December 2018, eventually decision was made he would live permanently on our side of the wall. Now we have a dog who does not know cats and a cat that does not like dogs.....
How this all works is crazy to most, Cloud and Woody greet each other at windows and doors. Check where each has walked in the garden with Woody covering her smell by pee'ing wherever she does her potty outdoors.

Daily WhatsApp Message:
Yo, I'm taking Cloud for a walk, is Woody inside?
Reply:
Yup he's here with me, coast is clear. Let me know when you finished, he will want to investigate after your walk is done.
Well something along those lines, yes both get out and about for walks! Cloud will not go alone and only walks with people around her for an hour or more daily, she has a flatlet designed for her bed, climber and toys.
So now you know a cat with the name Cloud, strange quirky behaviour, totally adorable letting you know she loves you by rubbing through your legs then giving you a nibble with sharp little teeth.
Spitting, paw flash white puff ball greeting at the door, note the scratch marks Woody has left on the glass door from regular visits a couple of times a day, always the same bark on one side, hiss on the other, he swaggers away... till the day comes when claw and nose do collide!
Just for fun... Woody test driving the front seat of the bakkie (LUV) today perhaps one day he will ride the front seat too, Introducing Cloud and Woody may come in time, who knows what tomorrow will bring.
