Greetings, fellow sentient beings!
Can you imagine? There are people among us who would not see the couple above for who they are.
And it's quite obvious those are the noble knight of La Mancha and his sturdy squire, no? I've seen their portraits in ink and in sticks. I've read about them. I know them. I am both.
Aren't you?
I bet you are.
Those are also some chimney parts of a vast project of mine that is about the rooftops of my hometown. A cycle that has been going on for some time and that has the potential to be a good exhibition there someday. I suppose people who live here notice some of the details from time to time as well. But do they think about them the way I do? Can they figure out how many and how diverse the characters lining their sky are? I doubt that. That is why I am gathering those into a collection for all to see.
Someday...
Is there any point in doing so? I think there is, as I think there were many
points in everything the noble wacko of a knight did. Spiraling down to the same point, actually.
Don't be boring and see the world or what it can be.
Let your imagination roam.
Roam yourself.
I remember a certain piece of advice that had something to do with...training your creativity. Because it is the skill to see outside the box, isn't it? I might have shared this one with you on certain occasions. Or maybe not. I do not remember that. But, anyway, it applies.
Take a different route if possible, when going where you daily go. To school and back or to work and back. Explore different streets from different angles.
As Tolkien wrote in a small poem supposedly by his character Bilbo Baggins...
In Every Wood in Every Spring
There Is A Different Green
Yours,
Manol
