Greetings, fellow sentient beings!
Recently I posted about last weekend's play test challenge. The one I managed to scramble a makeshift design that would reveal the functionality of Western Shores cards to people who were unfamiliar with the game project so far. I spoke of the mistakes I made and of the short time which meant I would only be able to provide visual quality that is not irritating the naked eye from the distance of an airplane flight. Or some such.
Well, there were also game design issues I was aware of but...they would not stop me from printing the stuff and using it for fun and for gathering feedback.
Some things remained under the radar. But they are, in principle, also to be changed for the better. I'll share such a detail here.
Cards have their Card Type, something to refer to at certain points in the game. And some of the most numerous cards fall within the Infrastructure category which for short I named Base.
But that shall not do in the future. Before we have a final version to present at fairs, game cons, official play test events, and the like...Base needs to change into something that is closer to Infrastructure but at the same time doesn't sound so modern.
Brainstorming ideas, all of them rejected so far, has produced...

Also, the black hand-drawn symbol that looks like a duck is a bowl of soup and represents Food as a resource.
The illustration of the farm was done by as were many more. Still about 55 - 60 % remaining. To fund the illustration process we have started minting some of the images as NFT art at the NFTshowroom.com gallery.
Here's what we've got digitalized so far:
Frozen Mammoth by ;
Temptress by ;
Jormungandr, The Sea Dragon by ;
Dragon of the Woods by ;
Quiet Inlet by ;
Frost Giant Outlook by .
And there's the #westernshores tag to bind them in a single collection.
Someday these shall help a game be born, see if they don't!
Thank you for being with us!
Yours,
