Greetings, maina! Also, greetings, fellow sentient beings!
That first word in the title is the way to call a fellow denizen of Plovdiv, an ancient town now on the territory of Bulgaria. If there's a place to practice Dudeism around here, that's it.
It's large and still alive, Plovdiv, A.K.A. Mainatown (not seriously, though). And warm.
The photo below was taken in the central city garden, at a place that used to be The Singing Fountains. Before it was redesigned. Well, it was redesigned to be the new Singing Fountains and you could say it still fits the description.
Yeah, it's a relatively large body of water, larger than most swimming pools. And it's still a favorite place for recreation of many local or visiting souls.
I chanced through the spot on a warm June night, right after a tiringly long festival day where I had already taken thousands of pictures. A reason enough to shoot only one at the fountains, I would say ;)
Camera Settings:
Aperture F 9; Shutter Speed 30 seconds; Light Sensitivity ISO 100; Focal Length 16 mm.
The image above was cropped, leaving about two-thirds of the total area covered by that 16 mm-wide angle lens.
Plovdiv is a beautiful town that sits on a large river and on six magma-formed hills although I can think of only five now. But there have been more in the past. COme to think of it, it's an entirely new topic. I have published photos from some of those hills in the past, and I shall do so again...someday.
Have a Good Maina Blues Night now!
Yours,
