Some paper coffee cups are just less lucky than others.
This one was among the runaways I tried facilitating but it ended up as a replacement cap. Also, it was chewed upon. Before the crusts of toasted bread came to relieve it of that duty.
If you wonder what I'm rambling about, here's the start of the series of articles about paper coffee cups on vacation...Day One.
We had a mild thunderstorm here at the coast last night. I say mild since we heard (and saw via friends on fb) that the city we left two days ago got flooded pretty hard. Subway stations turning into underground rivers, etc. I thought it's high time that we bought kayaks...just in case. But I guess we'll just go kayaking for an hour or so for now, renting one...Still researching options.
Anyway, there was lots of wind here last night, it woke me up a couple of times. And it stayed pretty windy on the morning when we went for a walk along the beach.
Although it was not too cold, I would say surf was up and we still needed to wear something warm before noon.
At times, the snapshots I took of the sea reminded me of coffee cup dynamics.
At least now I know what I am going to try and draw next time I get to drawing anything. It kind of comes from all the images that you see in this post but is also nowhere to be seen until it's ready. And I know of a suitable nickname for it. If it's not already out there, I might just create it. Soon enough.
Now that the morning winds have lessened a bit and breeze time is also almost over, let's go see how the coffee coast looks...
Disclaimer:
I write coffee but I usually mean Cappuccino or Late. Frappe, too. It's a color thing.
As I talked to over Discord right now, I got reminded of Tenerife, a place where I found no Frappe on the menus.
Here's a fun story...
People from Britain, by the sound of their accent, had a nice bar there near Los Gigantes. We asked about Frappe and they asked in return what it was. So, that time, we just told them "Well, coffee, and milk, and sugar, and ice. Lots of ice." They said they could bring those things separately. We just put them together. It was the best Frappe I've had.
I'll see you around next time!
Yours,
Manol
