"What are you doing to me?" she said with her eyes.
"Well, let me tell you what I am doing. You, my little dog, stink!"
There is no way I could have said this in a nicer way. Little as she is, she has a great talent to find stinky things in the yard. The minute she has made the discovery - she is rolling in it.
End result:
A dog nobody wants to pet!!!
It is time for the dreaded bathtime.
Dreaded by both of us - especially if it is cold outside.
The weather was on our side and I set up the bath station.
The project table is high enough that I don't have to bend over to bath her - that, my back is very grateful for.
The bucket and watering can are filled with very hot water, the basin with warm water ready for her to get in.
A garden hose is ready to add cold water to the hot to get it to the right temperature for rinsing her.
Towels are ready to get her dry really fast so she doesn't have to get cold.
Okay, she says. If we have to do this thing, let's do it. Very quickly, she went from this ⬆ to this ⬇
Now, the washing began and I didn't take any pictures with wet hands. And, I wanted to get this done as fast as possible.
Pretty soon, she was all pretty again and smelled so much better! Wish me luck that it will stay like that for a while! The sun is not shining and I don't like to wash her inside. Talk about a big mess!!
