Whatever you choose to do now, at the end of the day, is your choice. Some people get downvoted and come out on top bigger and better than before. Seen that happen plenty of times. I've taken some bumps. Stings a bit but the swelling goes down.
Others choose to go on a rampage, burn bridges; self destruct. Never ending psychotic smear campaigns that just lead to more downvotes and make them look like fools. No coming back from that and it's a permanent blemish on a blockchain of all things. Often they choose to leave over playing fair and never learn from their mistakes or even acknowledge the fact they screwed up.
I've been watching another platform with a similar concept attempt this without downvotes. They're powerless. They have to sit there and wait for their masters to make a decision that could take weeks, over something simple like plagiarism. In the meantime they're all arguing. Basically the act of not voting is the downvote on a platform without downvotes, so they practice shunning. If someone does something wrong, you're not allowed to communicate with or support them and if you do, you then become a problem. And they've locked that behavior into a blockchain; people can study it. It's gross and it's mainly comprised of those types that chose to play dirty then throw a tantrum.
Meanwhile here it took me five minutes to take care of a spammer posting sketchy links; I didn't have to wait or ask permission I could simply act and get shit done, move on. That account lasted twenty minutes here and didn't get a chance to screw anyone.
You've got talent but you're squandering your potential. Honest advice is the only help I can offer. The rest is up to you. Those folks doing well out there didn't do anything sketchy or dishonest to achieve those results. They just took the opportunity and ran with it. We're all on the same playing field.
Good luck. Was nice meeting you.
