Well this year is slowly slipping by... I know many will be happy to see it go. I must admit it has been a rough one. Yet I hate to wish it all away knowing we certainly only get so many years. Throwing an entire year away to the trash bin somehow feels wrong, but I do understand the sentiment!
When I am shooting, I usually know which pic will make a good mono in my judgment anyways. I try to find some with a lot of dynamic contrasts which should work well in mono. Yet there are always some that surprisingly work better than anticipated, while others miserably fail.
Both the pumpkins and the gourds are getting more and more interesting as the years roll by. I remember me and my childhood friend Gary going door to door selling gourds. We would grow them in my mom's garden behind the garage. We would go door to door pulling our wagon and selling them for pennies. Yes back then you could buy small things for pennies and dimes...especially candy :D As they say, those were the days!
