We had a killing frost the other day which put a halt to much of the growing season. It also bought on the change to the Fall colors in the trees and bushes.

The night before we had some rain then the temperature began to drop freezing rain drops on the colorful Mountain ash leaf.

I had a lemon tree which I put outside for the winter and it really got frosted giving it a fuzzy appearance.

Heading down the road for our walk we noticed the red, orange and yellows beginning to appear in the bushes along the way.

There was even some leaves starting to fall giving some crunch when walking the trail.

The temperature was cooler so Bruno liked running around a little more and it was lovely after the frost to not have mosquitoes any more!

The squirrels have been busy getting ready for winter making their stashes of food.

In the neighbor's pasture his young horse came to greet me. She has grown to be such a friendly horse. She came for some scratches while her older sister and mother lay among the grasses and what looked like the browning fireweed.
