I awoke this morning, sweat pouring down my brow but I felt refreshed. The night before I had done a breathing exercise when I first got into bed and afterwards went into a deep sleep, not waking until 6:30 A.M.
Upon awakening I remembered I had dreamt all night of walking and talking with a handsome doctor. He was no one I recognized but I enjoyed his company. We walked leisurely for miles until it was coming on dusk. Our conversation was not about health issues but we talked of life in general. No wonder I was sweating when I awoke.
The dream of a pleasant walk and talk with a doctor revealed to me that I was on the right path for my health with the deep breathing and spiritual exercise I did before falling asleep.
I’ve been interested in activating the chakras of the body and the deep breathing added another level to the process of opening the spiritual centres.
The colors for the seven chakras of the body are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and violet.

Last night as I visualized each chakra, I Inhaled and exhaled a few deep stomach breaths and then held my breath as I mediated for a half or so minute at each chakra. This added to the feeling of heightened awareness of the bodily functions with a tingling in my hands and feet.
Each Chakra, their color and meaning:
Root (at bottom of spine) - red - this is the foundation on how we build our life and basic trust.
Sacrum - orange - our sexuality
Solar Plexus - yellow-wisdom and personal power
Heart - green - love
Throat-blue - communication. How we speak and communicate clearly
Third Eye - purple-awareness and sixth sense
Crown - Violet - spirituality
These are the seven states of higher consciousness. Opening up the chakras can lead to better health and awareness of what is going on in our bodies.
Deep breathing and then holding the breath for awhile when visualizing each chakra will alert the body to anything wrong.
Concentrate on your body while holding your breathe and feel the blood pulsating through your veins. The releasing of tension can be felt as you are meander in a zigzag motion through the chakras.
The final action is to picture yourself bathed in a soft white light surrounded by the healing power of love.
