My Wednesday Walk wasn’t too far from the house. The first moving thing I see is Tiny, the little red squirrel, in the backyard.
Tiny and the blue jay are having a bit of a standoff. They just give each other a dirty look and carry on.
The sky is clear and more springlike temperatures predicted for this week.
A nice hole is the birch tree. I think it is where a branch came off but would make a nice home for some little critter.
Some trees near the hydro line coming into the house had to be removed before a wind storm brought them down. Sap is running out of the stump of this newly cut down birch tree. A hornet is enjoying the sap.
None of the wood goes to waste as we use it for firewood in the winter and to warm the house on chilly mornings.
