Good morning to all you Hivers!
well I have to say its nice to be in a position at this moment in time when there's a steady amount of traffic coming throght the dive shop. We are not busy by any stretch of the imagination but we do have divers every day and at least 2 days of the week we are seeing a busy day. This seems to be cos the people here permanently want to dive maybe 2 to 3 times a week which is understandable. It's fine I've adjusted things to accommodate for this and we seem to be settling into a pandemic rhythm.
I've also noticed that we seem to be getting the kind of student who wants to progress through to Divemaster and do all the prerequisite courses in between. 3 people have realised they will have an instructor all to themselves and this has also worked out very well for my instructors.
I couldn't have foreseen any of this but i look around at the other dive shops and think wow. How lucky are we. let's hope this steady trickle continues as it could be the making of us this year. Survival is all thats important in a time like this as a business and we seem to be placed quite nicely to do so.
Coffee. Coffee , coffee and more coffee. I need. i'm a little worse for wear after last nights beer and pool evening. I don't expect sympathy if i was looking for that i'd look in the dictionary as it can be found somewhere in between Shit and Syphilis.
Take it easy people and be careful out there wherever you may be on the planet.
