Goldenrod is an edible and medicinal wildflower that blooms in late summer to early fall. In the region where I live, it has few real lookalikes, so it is a pretty beginner-friendly plant to forage for. However, in other regions of the US, highly toxic look alikes that very closely resemble goldenrod do exist. In this video, we will take a look at some of the distinguishing characteristics of goldenrod and how to be sure and avoid its toxic look alikes.
