This painting shows three rulers - Queen Cleopatra of Egypt, Queen Elizabeth the First of England and Ireland, and Russian Empress Catherine the Second. The mural is called "Women's Power".
This art object has an interesting history. The artists used a simple, elegant, and, as time has shown, ironic solution. The place where this graffiti appeared can be called the "outskirts of downtown". This former outskirts of the city is home to industrial enterprises, transportation arteries, vast areas occupied by either warehouses or investor searches - in general, this is not an area that can boast of popularity and exemplary housing work. The blank wall of a house on the Obvodny Canal embankment has long stood with ugly traces of crumbling plaster. One day, the artists from the art group "Yav" noticed that the crumbling plaster looks like three women's silhouettes in historical costumes and creatively rethought and refined this "canvas". The irony of the situation became clear only now. Public services were annoyed with the appearance of the art object and promised to paint over it very quickly. Usually getting rid of graffiti is easy, just one painter with a roller and a bucket of paint. But in this case it was not like that. Since the painters did not pre-strengthen the plaster and primed the wall, the housing workers did not get rid of the need to do the work themselves: the plaster is still crumbling and you can not just come with a roller and putty everything. It's been more than nine months, but the graffiti is still there.
