In Mayes County, Oklahoma (US), there is a quaint barn near a farm pond. Ren and Scott of were by the spot on a recent outing and shot this lovely scene for me!
The boat beside the pond adds such a charming touch to the scene, while the big field and mountain add a delightful aspect.

The barn is in such a rural area and off the main road that I had a little trouble finding it on a map, even though Ren thoughtfully provided location information. Part of the problem for me is that nearby roads are labeled very strangely (at least in my mind) with designations such as D0493, E506, N4480, and not seemingly following any discernible scheme.
While poking around with the aerial views on both BING Maps and Google Maps for a bit, I located the roof of what was obviously a big barn and thought to myself, "I'd love to see a roadside view of that barn!" but the road designation didn't match what Ren sent me, so I kept looking. I found other possibilities of barns, but nothing else matched, either. Later, I realized that the roads were numbered slightly differently on BING -versus- Google, and that first barn I had seen was the very one she photographed! 😁

Not far from the barn is a place called Blue Hole Park, which is apparently a good area for swimming. Reading about it online, it sounds like a great place to visit if one is in the eastern Oklahoma area:
The Blue hole is a multi-spring fed stream of water that has formed a deep hole of cold blue water surrounded by fast moving shallow water. It is great for those looking for an out of the way place to camp, picnic, and relax in cold waters. [source: review by David H. on TripAdvisor.com]
For anyone interested, here is the original photograph which I edited and processed to make the photographic artwork, above:
As usual, will share 50% of the rewards of this post! Thank you for continuing to share pretty barns with me!
