I came across a couple neat-to-me fire hydrants today. I've been keeping an eye out for interesting looking fire hydrants lately, to the point that I've caught myself looking at them on television shows. It's sad, but that's who I am.
Anyway, I found these today. I really like the colouring on this first one. There's nothing too special about it otherwise; it's a standard Mueller hydrant that the City of Newark standardly uses. I just like the orange top. It's classy.
The next is also another standard Mueller, but with a blue top.
The poor dude has seen better days; he's gotten pretty beat up. I hope someone comes by to give him a hand at some point.
Lastly, I found one of a type I've not seen before. I felt like a kid in a candy store! A new shape fire hydrant! Woowoo! Look at the longer, oblong cap. What is this odd creature I see before me?
It is a Kennedy, from Elmira, NY. Obviously from 2006. I'm going to need to keep an eye out to see if I can find any more of them anywhere. This one was just outside the city limits, so I might find some more out thattaway.
