I'm always never able to remember birthdays myself, what more for my family and friends. I usually rely on notifications like these sort, in this case from (Thank you!) to give me the reminder on whatever is going on Hive Blockchain. Unknowingly stumbling upon this notification where I've been on the blockchain for 3 years old!!!
GOSH! that's a pretty long time I've been here.
I remembered my first day stumbling upon Steem through one of the 'pioneers' back in the days. I'm sure you all know him... and one of his 'BUY NOW AND I WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO MAKE 1000$ PER MONTH' on mashables.com. I just got out of a really bad business deal and lost about 35k in that deal and I thought that I wanted to keep the 'entrepreneurship momentum' going by searching for other alternatives that can help give me a secondary income. Without knowing I would stumble upon this 'blessing in disguise'.
Just a few weeks later I started getting involve with the early communities such as #teammalaysia who was led by . It was good to know that the crypto scene is budding in Malaysia. Still infancy but growing rapidly during that time. Then I branched out my connections to international Hivers after having learned some entrepreneurship skills in communicating and networking with people. I managed to slowly improve my account's reputation and gain followers.
I can remember one of the first few photo contest that I joined was from , and bloody hell, that guy is still posting here! Which is a sight of relief. A lot of the people I met back then are now inactive and it is indeed good to see some OGs on here. I remember
had this liquid steem site running where you can claim steem rewards everyday and that was my first tryout on the drip. Keeping me active daily just to claim that reward. Then there's
who never gave me that big upvote for my content back in the days because I always somehow exceed certain criteria but they've been a big part when I introduced this blockchain to my friends. The first BIG UPVOTE from them was unfortunately never felt by me but I can kinda guess the feeling through my friend who got them.
A few months later, I stumbled upon a new startup community. Much humble at it was, it is now one of the 'GIANTS' and a driving force for content creation on Hive. The (Powerhousecreatives) led by
. I stumbled across her on discord cause she was seeking for help for her community. I was surprised she never shared to me her community until I asked her what she needed the 'discord bot' for. Pfft.... But still, this community, if without her, dare I say it, Hive would be just another Steem right now. With no genuine people, no genuine content. So yes! LOVE you community builders people because they put so much into this blockchain so you can be where you are today.
I guess the rest was history. There is pretty much A LOT to share about what has happened in these 3 year on the blockchain. Friendships, ventures, learning about crypto, meetups and many more that added value to which I will remember the rest of my life. I do hope Hive picks up the onboarding soon and that huge stakers would realign their mindsets to actually 'WANT' mass adoption of HIVE soon. Or else, this blockchain would be dead in a few years time. It would be sad to see Hive gone with 3 years and ongoing memories of this wonderful yet with very high potential blockchain. Nevertheless, I'm glad that I've stumbled upon this journey!
Have a great week ahead!
Thank You
