I have always been worried to see my beans grow. You know that even when a farmer is expecting his/her labor to grow well. The farmer must try all means to protect the plant which his/she is expecting to do well. I have chosen to protect my beans farm from humans and domestic animals. Yes, I mentioned protecting my beans farm from humans. This is because some group of farm harvesting criminals roaming inside people's farms is always monitoring to see when people's plants will do well. Once the farm does well, they will still the harvesting crops.
Beans are one of the best crops that do very well in Benue state Nigeria. This is the reason why I tried my possible best to plant a little of it that can only sustain my family. Beans are also a kind of good food that’s high in protein distribution. I must tell you that whenever I eat beans, I don’t use to feel hungry easily but continue to take cups of water.
Since we’re already in the month of December and Christmas is just about a few days to go. During this period, a good number of farmers are always relaxed in their homes celebrating Christmas with family and friends. Since people will be in their homes, the farm is always lonely and calm. At this point, domestic animals used to eat up people's crops, and more importantly, criminals also use the opportunity to harvest people’s crops.
When I visited my beans farm, I noticed that some have started producing seeds and some are been affected by domestic animals like goats, foul, and many more. I have actually been waiting for this opportunity to see my beans produce seeds. This is because when I planted the beans new, it looks as if they’ll not germinate because of the dry season and no close river to the farm. So ask me why I’ll not be happy with the positive growth of my beans farm. This is another reason why I have to apply adequate protection to the farm.
One of the best measures I have been using to protect my potato farm is also applicable to my beans farm to avoid domestic animals from eating them up. The method is the use of a goat dump. I took a goat dump and grind it. After grinding the goat dump, I have to pour it into a small container and then add a little water to it. After I added water to it, I have to stair properly using a turning stick. After I finish preparing the goat dump, I have to take it to my beans farm and then use a selected number of brooms to spray the goat dump to the beans farm.
