If you are not a compassionate person, you can only imagine how I feel about these little creatures. They are taking up much of my time now than ever; they are over two hundred.
In my last content on these little creatures, I mentioned that I am not sure I will create a house for them. Still, lately I changed my mind, I noticed most of them are stranded once it is daybreak and some heartless people will come pick them and eat them (tho they are healthy), I feel they are just too innocent to eat them so soon.
From my research, snail farming is a lucrative business, and people have suggested I start with this one because they actually grow good species, but mentally and emotionally I am ready, but physically I am not ready for that.
Just yesterday morning I came out and saw many of the snails stranded so I decided to create a little house for them, I used two yards of blue window net, placed it on the floor then I placed two used car tires on the net, I packed a good quantity of soil into the tires to make them comfortable, I also added some plantain leafs to make it the space look like the bush where they normally stay.
While I was doing that my neighbor came out and he said "You have started snail farming" and I replied "Yes mentally am ready but physically am not sure" yes physically am not ready because ot requires lots of time and money to take care of them.
After creating a home for them, I placed the food I bought for them which is watermelon, pineapple, yam pill, and water.
I started picking them up and placing them in the house I have built for them, and I felt like they were happy because immediately I placed them in the house they will run and start eating the food I kept for them.
They are actually growing bigger because I make sure they eat good food every night and I provide water for them.
Currently they have a little home for just a few, and I covered their home with same type of net underneath and I placed broken tiles on it so that they wouldn't run away.
Thats just a brief update on about the little creatures called snail that am in love with, stay tuned for more update.
