The day starts with a couple hours of dancing with the scythe. I am about 85% done by now and can´t wait to have this huge job behind me for the season. had to make an extra hole in my belt. no joke.
just before mid-day I hop over to visit a carpenter friend and finally see his workshop. had a coffee and a good long chat. love this guy ❤️
one of our #agro-forestry lines again in sight after being lost in the grass for a couple of months.
this line consists of Pecans as main crop, spaced at 6m. apart.
in between, fast growing, nitrogen fixing sacrificial trees (Black Locust) that will soon, feed the main crop in a chop and drop manner.
Black Locust. planted half way between each two Pecans, these trees are in their second year.
time to dig up some of this very special bamboo, Pleioblastus linearis, which is one of my favorites and a very special variety, different in some ways from most other bamboo.
dug up 3 out of which 1 will become a production plant in a large pot in our growing selection.
as I did not have enough prepared soil for the big pot, they are all planted in smaller ones for the time being.
thank you for stopping by 🙏
wishing us all a peaceful rest of the week.
