It's been a while since I visited my farm due to the fact that I was in school, so over the weekend I visited home and took out the time to visit my farm and weed manually.
As a young farmer, this is my first time cultivating a bigger space. I don't want the weeds to overcome the crops. I'm so careful to start my weeds as fast as possible, I know the weeds are not much but it is better I start now to weed before they grow bigger than the crops.this is my own plan on how to manage my farm.
It is very important that we weed our farm as early enough because the growth of weeds causes harm to the plant as they struggle with the nutrients, water, and sunlight with the plant thereby reducing the yield of the plants. Another benefit of weeding is to protect our plant from pests. I can still remember early this year how pests destroyed my maize plants because I didn't weed the farm early, so in order to control pests we must weed our farm early.
