The alpaca had turtled overnight so I went up on the hill and dragged her down, under the fence, and to the bottom of the hill. She just gave in to it without any fight and as soon as I rolled her on her stomach her head popped up and she was acting more normal.
She was up there on the hill.
I was at my one client's house by 8am. I got the soil into the planter, set the irrigation rotor zone, Installed her Ring cameras, put together the weed eater and cut grass along the fence, then I had to make the old lazy susan cabinet door work with hinges. I had to run and grab my planers from home so I could shave down one side a quarter inch.
I had to chamfer the edge pretty extreme to allow the door to open as the edge caught on the cabinet. Now it opens fully and there is just enough resistance to hold itself closed for now. I will put a magnet setup on it to keep it closed.
I got home and ate in the 20-ish minutes I had before I had to leave for the irrigation install. The first thing I did was pull up the bricks and dig the trench. I had to install the pop-up heads and nozzles, run the wire, then bury everything in the trench.
It took me 2 hours to finish the install then I had to test all the zones and set the spray patterns right. I was VERY pleased with the positioning of the rotors in the front yard as they are head to head and all hit the middle. No mapping or measuring, just used my judgement and visual placement.
I was really stoked on the side of the garage as the fence is pretty close. The heads barely hit the fence so all the water falls in the narrow strip.
The back yard has total coverage as well as the side by the valve box. Tested on the controller and all valves work, set the controller and I was done. Zelle is killer as I get the notification of payment as I am standing with the client.
I was beat once I got home but found myself out in the garden cutting scapes from the rows of garlic. Thankfully about half the 3100 heads produce scapes.
After dinner I got the trailer hooked up for the grain run I have done already. Shower then much needed bed.
I have been to town for the grain and will unload it in a bit. I then go up and haul back the branches from the tree I cut down. I would like to get a ride in today, maybe grill this evening.
