After getting the boys to school yesterday morning I soaked my destroyed skin for a while which I managed without a ton of pain. It helped to soften my skin but despite it my entire day was a wash as the pain just wouldn't stop. Every time I move my hands the skin hurts which makes doing anything more difficult.
We are growing some seriously long icicles off the roof. This one one the spa side is well over 6 feet long now and still growing. I'm going to see if it will turn to a column if it can keep growing.
It is like a wall of daggers hanging off the roof.
The pantry has formed the inward curl and a few of the icicles are nearing 6 feet long. This side tends to slough easier so the weight will drag them all off at some point.
These are not a big issue as this is the creek side of the house that has no walkways. The one section I worked to bust the ice dams from was the patio roof but I only got half of it done, I will get the rest today.
This is my hell. Dyshidrotic Eczema. There is something about winter that turns it on in me, summer I'm fine. It makes it so difficult to do anything as every movement of my hands hurts. I have a week until I can get more prednisone so am going to have to suffer for a bit and try to tamp the flareup down as best I can.
Protopic ointment worked last night to temper the worst of the spots and diminish a number of lesser areas, thankfully. Today is the boys' last day of school before winter break and they have a mellow one of holiday parties and movies. My hands are a bit better this morning so hopefully I can get something accomplished today.
