Woke to a 1/3 of inch of rain in the gauge yesterday morning. It was cloudy and cool but the day was to warm up a good bit which meant HUMID...
Tools all in the car and the irrigation parts tub (including my nozzle bucket) with I headed for my job in Spokane. I didn't get pics of the job as it was just an irrigation repair/teaching/nozzle swap. She hasn't owned the house that long and was having trouble with the system. I walked her through all the various parts and described it all to her. Then I went through the valves and got one zone working that had a bad ground connection. Next I replaced a rotor with a pop-up and new van, then replaced the nozzles on 9 pop-ups in the front yard zones to vans. Everything set and working it was just an hour job but then she asked about some other tasks in the house which I will likely get a call for later to move ceiling lights around and replace a breaker or 2.
I was home before noon and went out right away for a ride as it was clearing and warming rapidly.
Another full field still in bloom as I rode south along Monroe. It was quite humid and mid 70s F and I decided to head for home.
I managed to get PRs on a number of segments which was quite nice as I felt like I wasn't going that fast for much of it.
The boys got home and I went to put away my tools and parts and on the way down the path from the garden shed I found a little pile of ants in mid swarm.
Then I was out in the garden picking scapes. I got another more than handful that went to the fridge, then later got split up so can take for her coworkers.
We had our session late afternoon/early evening.
After we went to eat at the Mango Tree Indian restaurant and damn is the food good there. Our first time there and very pleased with the place. Their butter sauce is amazing.
Back home the alpaca was no where to be seen so up the hill I hiked and found her cushed down.
The boys said she had tried hiking up the hill earlier and they corraled her back down but she was determined and went back up.
90 foot elevation difference and steep, but she made it even though she is gimpy on her front right leg. I will go check on her in a bit and make sure she is still doing okay. I will need to move her back down the hill as the water is at the base, not at the top.
Today is to be hot, likely humid, and then big thunderstorms are expected this evening. Boys to school soon, work in the garden, another ride, PDC is on, then this evening is the Ram Fest at he high school we will go to where we will get food at the food trucks brought in.
