My back was still bad on Monday morning so I wasn’t going to the gardens. Or picking peas. My back-up helper was coming and I’d decided to try to set-up the old bedroom. Everything had been moved to the center of the room in preparation for painting back in January. As painting wasn’t going to be happening, and I needed the bed, I thought we’d try to set up the room.
The reason I needed the bed was that I’d never put away the winter clothes or gotten out summer ones in May as I usually do. I was also doing a huge laundry washing due to poison ivy and was also doing the winter stuff. I had taken all the pain relievers I had and by 9AM the pain wasn’t so bad.
I hadn’t gotten a shower when she arrived, so I did that while she vacuumed and turned the mattresses on my bed, and then made it. She carried up the winter stuff already washed and put it in the other bedroom.
Then we set about cleaning off the bed. First we got pictures hung, then put stuff away. We finally got the bed moved and she vacuumed it and we got it made. I could finally sort the clothes to put away and to get out.
We got that done and everything back in the cedar closet and then put away the clothes that came downstairs. I had kept the laundry running all day and got it done but not put away. We finished just before noon and the pain relievers were wearing off.
Outside of changing laundry from washer to dryer, I didn’t get anything else done except watch movies. Early to bed with all the pain relievers and a hope I’d sleep through the night.
Tuesday I hope I’m better as I want to get out to the gardens. If not I must pick peas and process them. I think I can mange that.
