Hello Everyone!
The hit or miss writing timing, A chilly evening, Sprinting after the dogs, More plants popping up & A random black locust seedling!
Alright, I am beginning the writing routine a fair bit later than when I was aiming to start... and once again my attention got glued elsewhere while time slipped by. The funny part to that, is how from the moment my ideal 'start time' arrives... until the moment I actually get everything posted and am finished... a little part of my mind nags at me to get it done but upon doing it I am like: That wasn't so bad!
Seriously though, I am a very slow typer and it is incredibly challenging to spell things out 'quickly' no matter how much I have tried to learn to do it faster but really it is the editing that I dread. That said, the speed of the typing is not all that big of a deal if I begin early enough... but when it gets late (as it has been on several nights recently) I have to struggle against both fatigue and eye strain and that is just an aggravating experience.
It has been rather odd getting back into the whole writing routine, not just because I notice my writing quirks more... but because this series has been such a 'hit or miss' one with doing the writing in general. As a side note, it has been super nice (ever since I have been back at it again) to think 'Oh it is Day 624' and it pop into my head without having to think about it.
Anyways, that colder weather stuck around all evening last night... and this morning the wind finally died down enough that going outside did not require getting bundled up in a jacket. It was so chilly that I had to run the recirculating oil heater all night and until late into the morning... but by afternoon it was rather nice outside and it even got rather sunny for a while.
I think today marks a change in my foot injury, because it was the first day that I have been able to hobble around mostly without it being super painful at least a few times during the course of things. Unfortunately, at one point when I let the dogs outside two of them smelled some kind of scent (from some critter) that had passed through the area... and although they did not 'bolt' after it they almost did... and when I sprinted to catch them my foot 'complained fiercely' so to speak!
Thankfully, the intense pain did not last all that long and throughout the rest of the day the injury did not feel like it got any worse... but it assuredly did not feel as okay as it did before I bolted after the dogs. In the long run, it probably spared me from trying to do a bunch of the stuff that I was hoping to do... and actually injuring myself further because I stayed off my feet as much as possible afterwards.
Before all the commotion started with the dogs, I got to check on the plants growing in the flower pots atop the chicken coop and now (after all that rain) there are way more plants and I even noticed a tiny black locust that I definitely did not plant this year. I guess that one of the black locust seeds that I planted in one of those pots last year or the year before finally popped up.
Well, I do not have much else to report for this entry and am going to keep it short instead of struggling against the fatigue. I hope that everyone is doing well. Ta ta for now.
