↑This was how it looked outside my back door before daylight this morning. Those are mini icicles↑
This ain't the first time I've seen all this here, but it is still purty in an inconvenient way
So now, I have heat, I have electricity for now, I am not really concerned about me and/or dem cats
Yesterday, or should I say Friday as all this was approaching but no ice, no real cold yet, I was beginning to be sick with (I suspect) a "UTI" so I was miserable, trying to get stuff done while peeing on myself.
I had to change my pants and underwear twice Friday, and my room smelled strongly of pee.
But I DID get a Propane heater Friday, I thought I'd be able to use the small tanks I have for the Lantern, but no, that wouldn't work.
I don't think I slept more that a couple of hours at a time that night.
Yesterday after I recovered enough to be in the mood to get out (still no rain or ice then) I went out and found a service store that had tanks, since I wasn't exchanging, I had to PAY for the tank AND the gas inside it. That was a $74.13 expense I didn't want.
It wasn't until this morning that one of my friends on "You Know Where" suggested something I hadn't thought of. The coupling on the tank is threaded INSIDE as well as outside, I thought I was going to need an adaptor
But when I checked, it was threaded inside as well
I got it all connected, applied some Teflon tape for safety, and I was able to get it lighted.
That thing puts out a LOT of heat, so when I tried to simply move it from High to Medium, it shut off.
This has been a learning experience for sure.
This is what it should look like when connected and lit

Mr Heater
I hope I won't have to light this thing, but it's here if I need it
