We farmers are actively preparing our farms to cultivate rice while the rain is taking turns to fill the ground during this season, you have to be very active right now because next month could be the too late since we cannot predict how long the rain will last in a year, we always take September as the month when rainfall should decline not because it actually declines at that point but because there's been situations like that and farmers have made huge losses due to this mistake.
🌱 Why Herbicide First?
It depends on the conditions of the farm take for instance you are farming on that piece of land for the very first time then there are other things to do like stumping and clearing of bushes, trees, and shrubs before anything is done.
But if you look at the images here that there are no tress or shrubs obstructing work neither are the grass too tall that herbicide cannot subdue them.
Farming activities over a long period of time on a particular piece normally affects the land in such a way that the kinds of shrubs or grasses that used to grow on that land begins to change, some shrubs begin to disappear naturally with time leaving shrubs that is not too hard to handle, a lot of this is as majorly as a result of constant use of herbicide on a piece of land.
🧪 What I Used
A non selective herbicide is the best thing to use now since we want to completely wipe out every sign of plant life on the land before any other thing is done.
⏳ What’s Next?
Cultivation is the next thing for me but that will only be after I can fully confirm that all the weeds are completely dead.
