Farming is a result of understanding times and seasons, the more you understand this the greater your chances of getting good harvest, you cannot plant corn during dry season and expect to make a lot out of it if it wasn't irrigation farming that you are practicing and that's why it is very much important to understand the season you are in before you start planting anything.

There are certain periods when things don't go as planned because of the sudden change in rainfall progression, but situations like this are actually scarce, except in certain areas where it has become a norm.

This understanding has been an effective tool for me and my family when it comes to crop cultivation like in the case of corn we know that rainfall can be unstable in this region sometimes so we try to do everything with care to avoid a situation when there's a sudden break in rainfall midway through farming.

You can afford to make such mistakes if there is a mode of irrigation around you, but if there is none, then you have to be careful because it will be difficult carrying buckets of water 💦 from long distances to the farm just to wet our corn.

So far my corn's growth has been quite explosive and the problem of corn seed-eating pestss has been quite minimal even though they ate some parts of the farm.
