Hello Hive
Happy New day to us all, I hope that we are enjoying the best of it. The new farming season is coming with a very good vibe for us and I like the tone so far. Even after we have worked and left the farm yesterday, there was another heavy downpour yesterday evening that got everywhere soaked. There was a bit of eraoion everywhere. For three straight days we have had this consistent downpour. It is totally good for farming and I hope that we won't have any issues with the rainfall this time around and that this downpour will stay consistent all through.
We were able to visit some parts of our farms yesterday and began the clearing exercise for a new farming season. And not only us so many other people were also anticipating this rain.
I couldn't wait to get started because need to start planting our grains as soon as possible. Most of Our grains are exhausted at this time already and it wasn't because we didn't harvest enough that would have Sustain us through a good time. But when there is so much hunger in the land you have no choice but to share your food with friends and this is where they get exhausted in no time.
Every farming season starts with clearing and removal of old stump so that cultivated can commence.
One of the most reasons why cultivation of the land should commence on time is to avoid fresh weeds from growing and overtaking the land before that tilling or cultivation can commence.
Take a look at the land now, it is clear and clean from last year's farming and only dry stump of bushes here.
The best time to clear and cultivate is now. As the rains are falling, if the cultivation isn't done now, fresh grasses/weeds will germinate and overtake the land.
And in order to work on the land by that time one will have to eliminate the newly germinated grasses, wither by use of herbicides or other means which will begin to increase the farming Inputs and capital.
It is always a wise decision to start the cultivation of the land on time.
