Hello Hive
It's a beautiful bright and brand new week and I am grateful for the grateful for the gift of good health again. For the past 3-4 days I haven't been unwell and was away from blogging completely, I needed to rest and was receiving some medical treatment.
I am grateful that my health is much better now. Sometimes we often ignore all the body signs our body normally gives until we break down eventually. And for me personally every change of weather often comes with some chills and pains for me. Until I receive some medical aid to adjust to the new weather.
Today I want to show you around this my compound garden that has been a source of blessing to me.
Right here in the compound I have often gotten my consistent supply of vegetables which I often plant by myself
During the dry seasons last year I wasn't able to grow anything here and this was due to lack of water supply. Water for domestic use is often scarce during the dry season such that we barely had enough water to use in the house talk more of keeping the garden.
I couldn't plant vegetables but I had one or two veggies specie that survived the whole dry season giving me a conaiatinet supply.
This very bitter leaves tree here never died even for once throughout the season and you can guess how much of it we have been eating and using for soup.
Another veggies plant that dies and had just come back to life is this my scent leaves here
The plant was completely dead during the dry season but came alive as soon as it felt the drops of rain.
Now it is fine, fresh and looking healthy and guess what we are already harvesting and eating it's leaves already.
Aside this I also have a stump of my fluted Pumpkins here which I had planted in some sacs for almost three years now.
I have learnt that old stump never dies and this is the story of the fluted pumpkins. For three years it has been dying and reviving. Now it is back to life with new fresh vegetables.
In view of this I had asked my brother to assist me in clearing the space so that we can plant more veggies for this raining seasons and have variety of vegetables for consumption.
Since I wasn't strong and able to clear the place yet he assisted me with that after Sunday service yesterday.
Thank goodness the rains have come and are wetting the ground already. The next task will be to till the ground a little and being my seeds for planting
