Hello Hive
Happy new day to us all, the weekend is upon us again and I believe that someone is excited already. Soon it will be Saturday and my 9-5job friends can get some rest. Actually in this country the timing for work is more than just 9-5. Most jobs here resumes by 7am and 8 at the most and people stay on the job even till 8pm at night. It's usually a herculian task to work for 12hrs and Saturdays are often inclusive if you work with the private sector. It's a pity that the lay is still little after all this labour and time working.
The best kind of jobs that one can do is to own a business of our own, be it farming or any other task.
If you sincerely want to farm, having the right working tools can also be of help rather than the manual labour of growing crops.
Here is one of the important cash crops for us in this country that one can venture into for business purpose. Cassava has so many used for us here. Either the Tuber or it's processed product can be eating and hardly will you find a tribe that doesn't eat cassava or the products.
It's an important cash crop that is easy to grow. From being a perennial crops they can now be grown for less time than that.
These ones were planted just last year and after surviving the dry season they have already picked up their growth and are doing well already.
To propagate the crop is very easy.
Once we have the stems ready like this, the next process is to cultivate the land and plant the stem
We have already prepared some stems that will be planted this year and the only challenge we have been facing so far is how to get labourers to till the ground or the bigger tractor to cultivate the land. Once these is done, the newer stems here will all be planted bearing in mind that the Tubers planted this year will be ready for harvest by next year. Meanwhile the ones planted last year will be ready for harvest by the mid of this year.
Cassava products are some important food products and since there is market for it, there is no fear of who will buy these products from us once they are ready and being harvested from the farm.
