Hello Hive
How is our day coming. Mine has been blissful all the way, I believe in starting the new year with a positive vibe and lots of energy. And it's even more beautiful now that we have some food in our barns and in our table after a session of farming.
In the spirit of the new year I decided to make a vegetable delicacy for my family and that plate above is mouth watery right. I prepared some vegetables soup with vegetables from the river side garden we have planted only about a month ago.
Did you remember when I first blogged about it in the month of December, some loads of plenty vegetables have grown and are now ready for consumption.
This is one of the benefits of all year round farming for us. Vegetables are perishable and cannot be saved for a year hence the need to consistently grow vegetables perhaps the year round.
Growing vegetables isn't a difficult task like growing grains hence we should find this fun to do rather than as a labour to be executed.
With fertile soil and adequate irrigation, spinach like this are ready for consumption within just 6weeks or planting them, some specie of vegetables takes less than that timing. Varieties of vegetables have been planted right here all across the river bank and I will show us some other species with time. For today I just did a quick checking and got some vegetables for my family meals.
