Hello Hive
A beautiful morning to everyone of us I hope that our day is blessed and we are happy to enjoy a little holiday amidst work. I will like to use this opportunity to greet my Muslim friends specially and I wish them the best of the Salah Celebration.
Since yesterday we have decided to start with another round of weeding exercise in the farm as almost everywhere is completely filled up with grasses at this time.
On arriving the farm everywhere was so dry that it was difficult to carry out the exercise. Also considering the fact that a bed system kind of tillage was done for this homestead, it makes the grasses grow even more covering almost all the spaces in between the beds.
Rather than carry on with the weeding we just irrgated the farm and allow and left. Right after Irrigation the land will be to swampy to dip in our feet for weeding, today makes it a perfect day to continue with the exercise. The ground has soaked in the water and the roots of the grasses and plants are very much soft enough to be pulled up from the ground.
While weeding one has to be careful because of the green pepper here. They easily fall of the plant and when such happens it almost becomes a waste as no body like this kind of pepper when they are green. Weeding has to be done carefully and almost with hoes.
Although it is not corn planting season but as soon as we harvest some corn from the garden we often replace them with another set. One of the reasons for doing so is to reduce the severity of the garden.
Since these kind of pepper are often planted with some good amount of spaces in between then, grasses will quickly grow up in those spaces to cover the vegetables beds, planting of different varieties of crops in between these these pepper is a good way to minimize excesses growth grasses.
The farm is so bushy in this section of the farm as if we have abandoned it for so long. The Scent leaves here and other vegetables here are growing well regardless and although this is why an immediate weeding will be carried out between today and tomorrow hopefully we should be able cover a good portion of the farm.
I hope that will have a nice working day today.
