I want to use this medium to greet all great Hivers. How has been your day so far, hope you are all doing good? I'm positive minded that it's all well and fine.
I just want to use this period to talk about marketing situation happening currently in Ilorin metropolis concerning the demand and supply of live and dressed chicken sales. For the first time, this is the batch of birds I have reared from day old to seven weeks without selling anyone out of it. Normally I sell half at six weeks and the other half before they even reach seven weeks.

Just the way the price of the day old docs is always volatile, the same way the demand and supply of the production of birds swings. In every production, there is always demand and supply for any product. Lot of issues we are facing right now as Poultry Farmers are what is proving to be issues why there's hold up in demand and supply of chicken. But still bear in mind that, right now the supply is way more than the demand.
Lot of people are now into the poultry farm business, who are not prepared to learn how system works. They are pressured to sell at any price just have their atleast cost of production back so this prompt them to sell at ridiculous prices.
Another thing is a big farm is selling dressed chicken at low prices that make the supply of chicken to one sided. People now ignore the smaller farmers for these big farm just because of their low prices.
To say this further, I think again that because of too many production at the same time cause delay in demand of either live or dressed chicken. Currently, the demand is way more than the supply.
